Cyfarthfa Castle, Icehouse, Merthyr Tydfil is a Post Medieval icehouse still standing beside the castle. It may have stored river ice through summer, keeping food firm while the valley smoked and clangored. The stones do not advertise themselves, but they remember the work of catching winter before it left.
