Crump Island holds a ruined oratory dedicated to Rioch or Roc, preserving an eastern window, altar and aumbry within walls barely larger than a living room. The adjacent graveyard and nearby well suggest a complete monastic settlement rather than a lonely shelter. The narrow islet may have been a place where prayer, memory and sea travel met before the church fell into ruin.
Crump Island is recorded as a islet in County Galway. Its open map record supplies this location and any linked names or public references.
