Cross-slab in Tawnagh West (killinny Ed)

This limestone cross-slab (H 0.41m; Wth 0.5m), the edges of which are damaged, is incorporated into the internal face of the N wall of ‘Templemurry’ (GA128-034014-), which is part of the monastic complex at Kilmacduagh. The slab is decorated with a multi-line Latin cross that is centred on a square panel, which is decorated with a double contoured duplex knot. The terminals end in rectangular panels; those on the arms are decorated with a simple three-strand interlace pattern while those at the head and base contain angular linear interlace patterns. The cross is enclosed within a rectangular two-line frame (Higgins 1987, vol. II, 337, no. 63).
