Cross-slab in Com Dhíneol Theas stands at Calluragh burial ground on the lower west slopes of Beennacouma, overlooking Coumeenoole strand. Two small stone cairns hold the slabs, each marked with a plain cross on its west face. The place belongs to the old Dingle Peninsula landscape, where burial and memory still touch the sea.
Calluragh burial ground KE052-126---- is situated on the lower W slopes of Beennacouma, overlooking Coumeenoole strand. Two small cairns of stone, on the W and S sides of the mound, support the cross-slabs, each of which is inscribed with a plain cross on its present W face. Probably dating to the early Christian period (5th–10th centuries AD), the cross-slab may have marked a burial or served as a memorial within a Christianised landscape. Such stones often carried religious or commemorative significance, reflecting local Christian practices or the presence of an early monastic or burial site.
