Kill Of The Grange holds a small triangular stone fragment bearing a splayed Greek cross, buried somewhere inside its old graveyard beside a pre-Norman church, holy well and stone font. The cross is only five inches long, yet it marks a place where people have laid the dead and drawn water for life. That little stone may have stood on a grave, a gate or a lane before breaking free. It still belongs to the field, waiting for someone to walk the grass and remember what the angle of its break removed.

Situated on a low rise, in a green area, NE of Kill Abbey road. Cross-inscribed stone described by Crawford (1913, 167) as 'A triangular fragment 10 in. [0.25m] wide, incised with a Greek cross 5 in. [0.13m] long having splayed ends'. Cross-inscribed stone described by (O'Reilly 1901, 144) as; 'a small triangular-shaped fragment that seems like the corner of a rectangular leac, and which bears an incised, equal-armed cross 5 inches [0.13m] wide, the extremities of which are splayed'. The precise location of this cross-inscribed stone within the graveyard (DU023-015002-) at Kill-of the Grange has not been identified (Ó hÉailidhe 1959, 165; Healy 1975, 1-19). The site is located within a complex which includes a pre-Norman church with a late medieval chancel (DU023-015001-), a graveyard (DU023-015002-), a holy well (DU023-015003-) a bullaun stone (DU023-015007-), a graveslab (DU023-015005-), a stone font (DU023-015009-), the base of a stone cross (DU023-015008-), and two crosses (DU023-015004-) from the former laneway into the graveyard which are now in the care of the OPW in Trim, county Meath.
