Cinn Aird Thoir holds a roughly hewn red sandstone block bearing a deeply cut cross, serving simultaneously as Grave Marker 400. The stone bridges sacred symbol and domestic memory, suggesting the dead were claimed by both divine law and human love. Its red grain and sharp cutting reveal a craftsman who understood that mortality requires visible proof.

In 2011 a graveyard survey carried out by Ann Frykler and Robert Hanbidge of Headland Archaeology Ltd. recorded the following details about a possible cross-inscribed stone (Miscellaneous No. 12): ‘Roughly hewn piece of old red sandstone with deeply inscribed cross, also forming gravemarker to Grave No. 400’ (Hanbidge 2011, 13).
