Cinn Aird Thoir holds a thin red sandstone slab marking grave 390, its inscribed cross still visible beside the buried dead. The stone is small, but it preserves a nameless life through the shape of faith cut into rock. Rain, foottraffic and time have not erased that mark.

In 2011 a graveyard survey carried out by Ann Frykler and Robert Hanbidge of Headland Archaeology Ltd. recorded the following details about a cross-inscribed stone (Miscellaneous No. 01): ‘A thin slab of old red sandstone with inscribed cross forming gravemarker to Grave No. 390’ (Hanbidge 2011, 12).
