A half-metre slab of stone stands at the oratory entrance in County Kerry, its cross still visible despite age. A newer cross rises beside it, buried partly in cairn-like material as if the earth itself kept adding weight to the marker. The place has spent centuries collecting stones, faith and memory around a single carved line.

'A cross-inscribed slab stands at the entrance to the oratory (KE034-047001-), 0.6m high, 0.5m wide and 0.1m thick. A modern cross has been erected on the immediate eastern side of the oratory. This also appears to have been built into cairn-like material' (Cuppage 1986, 263-4, no. 818).

A cross-inscribed stone; likely medieval in date, associated with early Christian worship or memorial practice. Its placement near an oratory suggests a liturgical or commemorative function.
