Cross in Waterstown

Waterstown preserves a late medieval limestone cross whose broken arms and solid wheel still catch the light. A gothic Christ faces east on its surviving stone, watching the road where travellers once passed. The cross now stands embedded in a large granite boulder rather than its own base, suggesting people moved it when circumstances changed. That unusual placement turns a ordinary marker into a small record of human choice, pride or survival.
