This granite boulder, containing a socket for a cross, is located in the front garden of a modern house, on the lands of Springfield Farm. It is level with the ground (boulder dims. L 0.76m, Wth 0.35m, D 0.23m). The socket is rectangular in plan (L 0.35m, Wth 0.20m, D 0.02m). According to the Schools Survey (1937) in the Irish Folklore Commission, there was a tradition that the cross was buried somewhere in the immediate vicinity (ÓhEalidhe 1959, 207).
