Crevagh Isd is a crannog in County Mayo, Ireland. A crannog is an ancient artificial island, often built in a lake or wetland, where people lived, kept animals, or stored what they valued. The name and form suggest a small made place set into water, perhaps with a hut, a fire, and a rope or causeway leading in. It may have been a home, a refuge, or a seasonal workshop, and it still belongs to the landscape as a marker of human ingenuity.
