What is recorded here

Crean Burial Ground lies beside Crean Church in County Limerick, preserving a chapel first recorded in 1410 and a legible tombstone dated 1776. It is not a display of grand marble or famous names, but a quiet witness to ordinary death, local faith and the patience of stone.
Graveyard associated with Crean Church (LI031-091001-). Westropp (1904-5, 383) recorded the following details about Crean; 'Chapel of Cran, given with Magio (LI031-050004-), 1410. Site - A burial-place at Crean, to south-west of Manister (LI031-050004-)'. According to O'Kelly (1943, 233) 'the oldest tombstone in which is legible bears the date 1776'.
