Crannog in Lough Rea is a possible drowned habitation site within the NE sector of Lough Rea, near the mouth of the St. Cleren's River. A brief snorkel proved inconclusive, leaving the place half-remembered rather than described. It may have been a crannog, a trading spot, or a forgotten household living above the waterline. The lake keeps that answer back.
