Crannog is a man-made island, built of stone and intent, in Lenaghan, County Fermanagh. It is not a floating myth but a recorded archaeological site, marked at its centre on the official map. The name Ratona appears beside it, perhaps a local voice or a forgotten identity. To stand on Crannog is to touch the hands that shaped water into a room for living.
