What is recorded here

Killavally East holds a crannog, an artificial island built among wetlands where people lived above the water. The place still belongs to County Mayo, yet its history waits behind a closed archive rather than an open page. That absence makes the crannog larger in the mind: a small island, a household, a world reduced to water and memory.
