Crannog in Gartacara is a lake dwelling in County Cavan, Ireland. The water likely hid its wooden edges while people lived above the surface, turning a ordinary lake into a small floating room. Rain, decay and forgotten years may have pulled it back beneath the reeds, leaving only the name to mark where human hands shaped the water.
