What is recorded here

CRANNOG in Cavanacross, Feddan and Largy is an early Christian site in County Fermanagh. The name and place are clear even though little else has survived. A crannog is a built island, usually wooden, raised above water so life can continue when land becomes dangerous or crowded. People may have lived there, hidden there or left it when the lake changed. What is certain is that the site still exists and the name still points to it.
