What is recorded here

Crannog in Carrownabo is a circular overgrown platform about nineteen metres wide, buried in the low marsh where Lough Nalarsadh once held its water. A faint causeway still angles away toward the northwest, as if someone had laid a road across the lake and then stepped back into the mist. The depression at the platform’s edge may have marked a door, a well, or a place where rowers moored their boats. Whatever it was, the lake retired and the marsh moved in to keep the shape.

In a low-lying marshy area, formerly part of Lough Nalarsadh. Claffey (1983, 147) records a crannog here consisting of a circular overgrown platform (D c. 19m) with a depression visible at SE. Traces of an 'apparent causeway' were noted running NW-SE at a tangent to the monument. Not visited.
