What is recorded here
Crannog in Béal An Ghoile Thuaidh is a built island in County Mayo, Ireland. It is the kind of place where people stacked stone, wood and soil above water because dry ground was scarce and pride was not. The name keeps the local identity intact even when the written description does not.
