What is recorded here

Crannog is a water island in Ballaghmore, County Fermanagh, built by people who refused to leave the land when the lake rose. The official record preserves only its kind and place, but the shape suggests rooms, hearths and doors cut into living wood. Perhaps children ran across its deck while adults rowed past, certain the lake would never swallow what love had built.
