Crag Fast is a sea cliff composed primarily of Carboniferous limestone, formed around 340–320 million years ago through the accumulation of marine sediments. It is notable for its exposure of durable limestone strata that have resisted erosion, providing a local example of the geological history of the English Lake District region.
