Counterfort humps and a hidden passage still mark Lisdrumchor Upper, though no date or owner survives in the name. The ground may have served as a fort, a farm or a frontier marker, and the passage may have let people move through rain, darkness or danger without being seen. Whatever it was, it was made with purpose.
