Mud, stone and forgotten labour built the counterscarp rath inside Large Park, though no human hand is recorded there. It stands in County Down as a buried edge of an old field, waiting for rain to reveal its shape.
The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as COUNTERSCARP RATH. Recorded period: E.CHRIST.. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.
The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
