Situated on a gentle NE-facing slope. The parish church of Balrathboyne (ME024-001----) on the site of the early church of St. Baoithín is within a subrectangular graveyard (dims c. 95m E-W; c. 55m N-S) with no feature defining its perimeter. The graveyard truncates the rath (ME024-001005-) to its N, and it is within the ecclesiastical enclosure (ME024-001004-).
