What is recorded here

Detached gable-fronted three-bay two-storey former school, built 1863, now in use as private domestic house. Later two-bay two-storey house addition to north and recent extensions to side (south) and rear (west). Pitched slate roof with concrete coping and uPVC rainwater goods. Rubble stone walls. Lancet openings with timber fixed pane windows and stone sills. Pointed arch opening with timber battened door, overlight and concrete steps. Later two-bay two-storey block (north) having pitched artificial slate roof, rendered chimneystacks, uPVC rainwater goods, painted, rendered and rubble stone walls and square-headed openings with timber casement windows. Enclosed by rubble stone walls.
The form of this picturesque school is unique in comparison to other contemporary schools of the local area. The attention to detail, seen in the lancet-headed openings and overall building style, adds to its character and charm.
