This blue commemorative plaque records: Sir Edward Sharpey-Schafer (1850-1935) FRS ERSE. Physiologist. Professor of Physiology, University of Edinburgh from 1899-1933. A founder of The Physiological Society and of The Quarterly Journal of Experimental Physiology.
