Remains of limestone steps and kerbing, c. 1860.

Though now in poor condition, and with much of the original paving and kerbing removed, these mid nineteenth-century kerbs and steps are significant contributors to the architectural heritage of the city. While the pavement on this street is now predominantly modern concrete replacement, these limestone remains are interesting reminders of the quality of materials formerly utilised in the streetscape.
