Cobbled area of limestone setts to Beasly Street, c. 1830, being full width with cobbled margins and limestone kerb.

One of the few remaining areas of early nineteenth-century cobbled limestone setts in Cork city, now in poor condition. Retaining importance for overall character of streetscape.These setts form part of an interesting group with similar nineteenth-century paving schemes. Setts such as these are found in many locations throughout the city, and contribute to the unique character of the city. These paving schemes have in many cases has been replaced or covered with concrete.
