In flat farmland within the former demesne of Clonbern Park. Probably the site of the medieval parish church which, according to Knox (1903, 293), was called 'Kilbrenan'. The remains comprise a very poorly preserved rectangular church (E-W; L >6.3m, Wth c. 6.4). Only the ivy-covered E gable (H 2m) survives to any height along with short grassed-over lengths of N and S side-walls. The subrectangular graveyard also contains a large early 19th-C rectangular vault (L 6m, Wth 4m) dedicated to the Egan family and a remarkable circular metal mausoleum dedicated to the Browne family. Two holy wells (GA031-017----, GA031-018----) may be associated.
