Clochbrack is a portal tomb in County Mayo, Ireland, where huge stones still lean against each other like the ribs of a forgotten chamber. It belongs to the deep Neolithic past, old enough that the people who built it left no names behind, only the shape of their labour. The tomb may have marked a burial, a boundary or a sacred meeting place, and that uncertainty makes it more alive than a finished explanation would.
