Clochan in Fán is a ruined stone chamber on the lower south slopes of Mount Eagle in County Kerry. It once held four or five connected rooms stretching north to south, but time has reduced most of that line to a scattered cairn. What remains is a circular foundation four metres wide, a rectangular enclosure beside it, and a faint bank suggesting another room beyond. The place still carries the shape of human intention, even though the walls have given way.

On lower S slopes of Mount Eagle. Described by Macalister (1899, 219) as a multiple clochaun with 4 or 5 chambers lying in a N-S line. The site is now reduced to a cairn of stones, in the S end of which can be seen the foundation of a circular structure, 4m in diameter. This has an entrance at E, and a 2nd entrance at N which leads into a sub-rectangular enclosure, 5 x 3.5m, which is defined by a grass-grown bank or wall. About 2m to N of the latter is an arc of bank possibly indicating the position of a 3rd structure. The above description is derived from J. Cuppage, ‘Corca Dhuibhne.
