Clochan in An Ghairfeanaigh is a univallate rath on the east slopes of Sugarloaf hill, overlooking the steep glen where the Garfinny river cuts through County Kerry. Two smaller clochauns abutted the inner ringfort bank at the northeast and south-southwest, suggesting a compact domestic cluster rather than a single isolated shelter. The slight kink and revetment walling at the south may still mark the second clochan, preserving the shape of a place where people lived beside a river that never stopped moving.

Univallate rath KE043-179---- is situated on the E slopes of Sugarloaf hill, overlooking the steep glen through which the Garfinny river flows at this point. On the OS maps 2 clochauns were marked in the interior. These abutted the inner face of the ringfort bank at NE (KE043-179001-) and SSW (KE043-179002-).
