What is recorded here

Claudy is a small town in County Londonderry where three car bombs exploded on Main Street on 31 July 1972, killing nine civilians and wounding thirty others. The attackers reportedly tried to warn the town, but telephones failed because an earlier bomb had cut the lines. That small mechanical failure turned a threatened attack into a massacre, and the town has carried the name Bloody Monday ever since.
