What is recorded here
Detached four-bay single-storey national school, dated 1899. The walls are finished in painted roughcast whilst the gable-ended overhanging pitched roof of the original section is slated and has a rendered chimneystack. The windows are flat-headed and filled with six over six timber sash frames and fixed multiple pane timber frames. The entrance sits within a recessed porch to the north-east corner of the extension. Cast-iron rainwater goods. The national school is set within grounds adjacent to the Catholic Church of Saint Patrick and Saint Killian.
This national school has retained its small scale rural charm and continues to blend in well with its surroundings.
This does not grant access. Most recorded buildings are privately owned; view them only from public ground unless the owner allows entry.
