Poulaphuca in County Clare holds a small rectangular cist beside a cairn, preserving a chamber no larger than a person stretched out. One long stone still stands while moss swallows the rest, suggesting the earth reclaimed what human hands first shaped. The hidden depth may have stored treasure, body or memory, yet time has erased the exact purpose.

Situated on the N side of a cairn (CL010-047017-), this rectangular cist (0.9m NW-SE; 0.8m NE-SW; max. D 0.8m) is lined on its long, NE side by a slab (0.9m NW-SE; H 0.55m) while the rest of the stone lining (if extant) is covered by grass and moss.
