What is recorded here
Iskancullin holds a rectangular cist at its heart, buried under a cairn of loose stones. Vertical slabs still mark three sides of the small chamber, while the fourth has vanished into the mound. The dead may have lain there before the hills forgot their names, waiting for hands generous enough to dig and gentle enough to leave the chamber unchanged.
Embedded in the centre of a burial cairn (CL009-213001-). This rectangular stone-lined cist (min. 0.6m E-W; 0.6m N-S) is defined at S, W and N by stone slabs (exposed H 0.32-0.45m; T 0.1-0.2m) set vertically on edge. The cist is filled with cairn stones, which also obscure its E end.
