What is recorded here

Conray holds two small stone chambers beside a megalithic tomb quarry, one open at the southwest and one lintelled at the east. They are barely large enough for a person to crouch inside, yet they preserve the shape of death before grandeur. Maybe they belonged to people who could not afford monumentality, or perhaps they marked children, thresholds, or forgotten obligations. The main tomb still demands awe, but these smaller chests remind that reverence also comes in cramped, humble measures.

There is an open short cist (dims 0.9m x 0.65m) on the perimeter of the quarry of the megalithic tomb (LE011-001001-) at SW and a second cist (LE011-001003-) with the lintel in place is on the perimeter of the quarry at E. Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of upload: 15 April, 2016

Neolithic cist tombs, dating to approximately 4000–2500 BCE, associated with a larger megalithic tomb complex. These cists are significant as they represent early funerary practices and are often linked to the construction phases and reuse of megalithic monuments.
