The following description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Carlow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1993). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload/revision: 16 July 2012 Very regular short rectangular cist (c. 0.55m x 0.36m) containing crouched inhumation of single infant, discovered during farm work. Orientated E-W. (JRSAI 1970, 109; Cahill and Sikora 2011, Vol. 1, 66-8).

Cist in Boherduff is a small prehistoric stone burial chamber, likely dating to the Early Christian or Bronze Age period. Its significance lies in providing insight into early burial practices and funerary architecture in the region.
