What is recorded here
No visible monument remains, but the ground itself is the archive. Cists and pits mark a place where people stopped running from death and taught it to hold them instead. The chamber is small, the dark total, and the dead become witnesses rather than warnings. Memory does not need a tall column when the earth is already shaped like a cup.
The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as CIST BURIALS & PIT BURIALS (O.S. memoir site; unlocated). Recorded period: UNCERTAIN. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.
The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
