North Galway holds a shallow rectangular depression, nineteen metres long and eight wide, aligned north-south inside an older enclosure. At its heart sits a small circular mound, four metres across and only thirty centimetres high, with a hollow centre that suggests a buried well, foundation or forgotten chamber. The place may have served as a church, a burial ground or a meeting spot before the land took it back. What is certain is that the earth still marks the shape of what stood there.

Within an enclosure (GA086-178002-). Marked on 3rd ed. of OS 6-inch map (1948) as the 'Site of' a 'Church'. All that is visible is a shallow rectangular depression (L 19m, Wth 8m), aligned N-S. Within it is a small circular mound (D c. 4m, H 0.3m), the centre of which is hollow.
