What is recorded here
Duneany once held a church and graveyard, though no building remains visible to mark the exact spot. The uncertainty of its date and disappearance does not diminish the fact that people lived, loved, buried their dead and prayed there. A vanished church is not nothing; it is a life completed, its shape transferred from stone into memory and soil.
The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as CHURCH (site of) & GRAVEYARD. Recorded period: UNCERTAIN. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.
The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
