Church (in Ruins)

In pasture, on E-facing slope. Shown as L-shaped building on 1842 OS 6-inch map, and as ruined rectangular structure (c. 15m E-W; c. 6m N-S) on 1938 OS 6-inch map. Now reduced to rectangular mound (max. H c. 2m) with rough outline of grass-covered foundations (H 0.25m) visible on W (L 6m) and N (L 15.8m) sides; base of wall visible (H 0.2m) on E side (L 5.9m), strewn with loose stones. Sod-covered crossing wall (Wth 0.7m) also evident among loose stones, 7.3m from W end. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
