What is recorded here

Listed as ‘Church’ in the SMR (1992) and the RMP (1996), this record is for the Church of Ireland church at Kilfenora which occupies the nave of the former cathedral since the early 19th century. See CL016-015002- for details on the cathedral. Three effigial tombstones (CL016-015011-, CL016-015012- and CL016-015015-) lie in the porch of the church. There is a 13th century font (CL016-015019-) in the nave and a 17th century wall monument (MacDonagh) on the N wall (CL016-015016-). A carved head in the SE corner may be a remnant of the former chancel arch. Compiled by: Mary Tunney Date of upload: 4 September2018
