According to O'Riordain (1932, 98) a 'mound immediately north' of holy well (CO110-021002- and CO110-021003-) is locally regarded as the 'monastery of Kilbrogan'. No visible surface trace. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 1: West Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1992).
