Church in Keadew (cavan Rural & Urban)

At the site of a holy well (CV020-050001-). Davies (1948, 118) speculated that this place my have been a refuge for a band of friars after the Dissolution. He further suggested that although the townland was not church land, it is possible that there had been an early establishment here. No visible remains of a church at ground level. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cavan' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1995).
