Church in Carrignavar

To E of Carrignavar village, just N of Carrignavar House demesne. Rectangular nave, (long axis N-S); three pointed windows in W wall; porch on S gable. Gabled chancel to N with pointed window; switch-line tracery.Vestry at NE corner. Cut limestone detail includes window and door surrounds, cornice and bellcote on S wall. Lewis in 1837 (vol. 1, 568) notes that 'a church has been recently built at Carrignavar by subscription'; according to local information, went out of use c. 1963. No graveyard.
