What is recorded here

Davies (1948, 73-7) noted the place-name Church Hill in this townland and in documents of the late 16th and early 17th centuries but could discover no tradition or remains of a church on it. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cavan' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1995). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload/revision: 22 December 2008
