CHURCH & GRAVEYARD (site of): KILMAHAMOGUE in Kilmahamogue

CHURCH & GRAVEYARD (site of): KILMAHAMOGUE

What is recorded here

Kilmahamogue holds the buried remains of an early Christian church and graveyard, marking one of the first places where Christian worship took root in County Antrim. The site has no standing building left, but the ground itself remembers the prayers, burials and daily life of the people who gathered there centuries ago. What is missing visually is still present spiritually: a sacred landscape shaped by faith, loss and continuity.
The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as CHURCH & GRAVEYARD (site of): KILMAHAMOGUE. Recorded period: E.CHRIST.. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
