Altar Green in Finkiltagh, Tullynahinnion, County Antrim, marks the lost church, graveyard and altar where local life once turned to prayer and burial. The name itself preserves the altar, while the faded church and graves suggest a community that gathered, mournered and remembered before the buildings disappeared. Perhaps people still walk past the green without knowing they touch the heart of an older townland.
