What is recorded here

Childrens Burial Ground lies hidden within a Galway ringfort, marked only on a 1931 survey while the living earth forgot the shape of its rows. It is not a display or a warning; it is a chamber where young bodies were returned to soil before witness or ceremony. The absence of a monument does not diminish the fact that children belonged there. They were not discarded. They were placed inside the wall, named by age rather than deed, and trusted to the dark.
